Municipal General Reinsurance Limited was finally placed into liquidation on 20 February 2015, nearly 21 years after the appointment of provisional liquidators and following the termination of the scheme of arrangement, which had itself been on-going for more than 10 years. A long, but successful saga with the creditors each receiving a dividend of more than 100%. Stephen Atherton QC has been acting for and advising the provisional liquidators and the scheme administrators of the company throughout almost all of the process.
