Andrew Ayres QC and Andrew Dinsmore have been instructed by entities in the Steinhoff Group to pursue claims against alleged associates of Mr Marcus Jooste. The Steinhoff Group is a major international retailer, which includes brands such as Poundland, and was the alleged victim of a substantial fraud, as reported by Bloomberg*, the Financial Times, the BBC and Reuters.
This English action is brought against two individuals and a BVI company, Formal Holdings Limited, which received multi-million dollar sums from various Steinhoff Entities pursuant to alleged bogus transactions.
The claim has been reported by Law 360*.
