Arbitration Event – The European Circuit at the Bar Annual Conference 2018

Gordon Nardell QC and Colleen Hanley will be joining Sir Ernest Ryder (Senior President of Tribunals), AG Eleanor Sharpston (Advocate General at the European Court of Justice), David Cairns (British Ambassador to Sweden) and Seamus Woulfe SC (Attorney General in Ireland) as speakers at the European Circuit at the Bar Annual Conference 2018 in Stockholm.

Hosted by Arbitration Ireland, the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and The European Circuit, this year’s conference will cover various themes and include an Arbitration Event.

Gordon will be speaking on “The future of European Investment Disputes”, in particular, FTA and BIT/MIT law in the current context of EU law. Gordon’s joint article with Clyde & Co’s Richard Power on the implications of the CJEU’s Achmea decision can be found here.

Colleen will be speaking on “The Arbitration Melting Pot: Cross-cultural teamwork in international disputes” and sharing her views on the current position in shipping, commodities and international arbitration.

The European Circuit Arbitration Event takes place on Thursday 20 September in conjunction with the European Circuit of the Bar Annual Conference 2018.
