Malcolm Jarvis addresses the Judgment of English High Court (Leggatt J), 25 September 2015, for the case Scottish Power UK Plc v BP Exploration Operating Company Limited & others [2015] EWHC 2658 (Comm).
This is an important and wide-ranging judgment of the English High Court determining a number of contractual issues following the shut-in of the Andrew Field in the North Sea for 3½ years. Production at that Field was shut down to enable work to be carried out to ‘tie in’ the platform and facilities at the Andrew Field with the nearby Kinnoull Field.
