This Friday, several members of Twenty Essex will be heading to Dublin for the renowned Dublin International Arbitration Day, hosted by Arbitration Ireland, and now in its seventh year. Themes for this year include: climate related disputes, innovations in technology, the dominance of arbitration in commercial disputes, the influence of the EU on international arbitration and third-party funding issues.
Colleen Hanley will speaking be on a panel titled “The dominance of arbitration within international commercial disputes” in an early afternoon session. Duncan Matthews QC will be joining what is expected to be a lively debate on “The EU – a positive or negative influence on international arbitration?” later in the day.
