Gordon Nardell QC is participating in a panel session at the 10th Annual Scrambling for Safety Conference, which this year will be discussing the draft Investigatory Powers Bill.
The event, on behalf of FIPR and the Policy Institute at King’s College London, provides a key opportunity to discuss the future of surveillance in the UK. Gordon will be addressing the impact of the proposals on legally privileged communications. He has played a leading role in the Bar Council's long-running campaign to reform the law to protect legitimate lawyer-client communications from covert interference by police and government officials.
The event is from 1:30pm – 5:30pm on Thursday, 7th January at the Safra Lecture Theatre on the Strand. You can register for free tickets (thanks to the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust) at https://protect-eu.mimecast.com/s/Ol5pBFXGNYHe
