On 23 April 2013 Charles N. Brower delivered the keynote address to a conference in Washington, D.C. entitled “Complex Issues in International Arbitration” sponsored by the LCIA, ICSID and the Section of International Law of the American Bar Association. His address was entitled “From ‘Dealing in Virtue’ to ‘Profiting From Injustice’: The Case Against the Re-Statification of Investment Dispute Resolution.” On this occasion the Section of International Law of the American Bar Association bestowed on him its “Lifetime Achievement Award.”
