Liquefied Natural Gas (Third Edition)

This is an archived article, and some links may not work. Contact us if you have any questions.

Malcolm Jarvis is a contributing author to the practical and commercially focused third edition of the title 'Liquified Natural Gas' which provides a rare guide to the legal, regulatory, political and practical elements of today’s LNG business.

Topics covered include:

  • The latest developments in traditional LNG matters such as structuring projects, sale and purchase agreements and shipping

  • LNG from shale and unconventional sources

  • The forced reopening of contract terms over time

  • The growing role of smaller and floating LNG developments

Malcolm (jointly with Paul Griffin) wrote the chapter “Obligations and failures to deliver or take under long-term LNG sale and purchase agreements” which includes consideration of recent developments relating to take or pay clauses, endeavours obligations, force majeure, the law on penalties and termination rights.
