Monica Feria-Tinta to speak at the Schiefelbein Global Dispute Resolution Conference

On 18 January 2019, Monica Feria-Tinta will be speaking at the Schiefelbein Global Dispute Resolution Conference, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Arizona State University.

The conference covers cutting-edge subjects on arbitration, including technology in arbitration and China’s Belt & Road and Climate Change related arbitration. Monica will be joining Lucy Reed (Director of the Centre for International Law and Professor Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore) (key speaker) and a stellar faculty including Les Schiefelbein (Arbitrator), Judith Levine (Permanent Court of Arbitration), Rafael Llano (White & Case, Mexico) Yu-Jin Tay (Mayer Brown Singapore), Chiann Bao (ICC Belt and Road Commission), Maria Chedid (Arnold & Porter) and others. Monica will be joining the panel on Resolving Climate-Change Related Disputes.

A specialist in public international law, Monica is recognised as an international environmental law expert, including on international dispute resolution for climate change. Last December, Monica participated at the 2018 United Nations Climate Change Conference, the 24th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, in Katowice, Poland. Her expertise in environmental law has been recently recognised in her appointment as a member of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental law.

The conference will be live-streamed so delegates are able to join from across the world.
