Andrew is building a diverse practice in commercial and public international law. During pupillage, he gained experience in a broad range of Chambers’ core practice areas, including arbitration, shipping, energy, international trade, and various aspects of public and private international law.
Before joining Chambers, Andrew worked as a Judicial Assistant in the Court of Appeal to Lord Justice Males and as an Account Manager at Luminance Technologies, a leading provider of artificial intelligence in the legal sector. He also obtained exposure to various issues of public international law through working as a research assistant to Professor Philippa Webb, as well as through acting as a legal assistant to the Republic of Maldives in a dispute before the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.
Andrew studied law at King’s College London and international law at the Geneva Graduate Institute, graduating with first class honours and summa cum laude respectively.

- Drafted (as a pupil) a skeleton argument for a claim for a worldwide freezing injunction.
- Strategic Technologies Pte Ltd v Procurement Bureau of the Republic of China Ministry of National Defence [2020] EWCA Civ 1604, [2021] Q.B. 999: (as a Judicial Assistant) assisted on an appeal concerning whether a ‘judgment on a judgment’ could be registered under the Administration of Justice Act 1920.
Public international law
- Advised a political organisation on the right to self-determination of a group of an indigenous people in light of various human rights violations by a State (with Professor Robert McCorquodale and Ali Al-Karim, both of Brick Court Chambers)
- Assisted (as a pupil) with the preparation of a written statement for the pending International Court of Justice Advisory Opinion concerning Obligations of States in respect of Climate Change.
- Drafted (as a pupil) written advice for an international organisation in relation to potential workers’ rights violations committed by a State.
- Acted (prior to pupillage) as assistant to the Republic of Maldives in the merits phase of Dispute concerning delimitation of the maritime boundary between Mauritius and Maldives in the Indian Ocean (Mauritius/Maldives) (ITLOS Case No. 28).
