The Fund defended a winding up petition presented by alleged redemption creditors in the Cayman Islands. The creditors were Louisiana based state and city fire-fighter related pension funds. The petition was disputed by the Fund on the basis that the creditors had already been paid by way of a distribution from the Fund in specie. The Fund was wound up on the grounds that the purported distribution in specie was not a valid distribution under the proper construction of the terms upon which the investment in the Fund had been made.
