Twenty Essex has strong expertise in public and administrative law disputes.
Experience includes advising and acting for the government in judicial reviews arising out of commercial, tax, regulatory and disciplinary work, as well as human rights and immigration challenges. Members are frequently seconded to, and instructed by, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and instructed by the Home Office.
Members regularly appear in judicial review proceedings ranging from commercial and regulatory matters to immigration and human rights, frequently appearing in a number of UK Supreme Court cases. In addition to acting for the UK and government, members also act on behalf of commercial claimants, individuals, interest groups and NGOs. In some cases, Twenty Essex has been instructed on both sides.
