Contact

Contact with chambers should be made through the Practice Management Team. They are happy to discuss client requirements and provide further information on such matters as the expertise and experience of individual members, fees, working practices and languages spoken. We have members able to work in French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Swedish, Greek and Chinese (Mandarin).

Outside working hours, a member of our team is always available to be contacted on matters of an urgent nature. Contact should be made using the Chambers main number or email.

To contact our Singapore office, please contact our BD Director, Asia, Rachel Foxton. Out of office hours calls will automatically be diverted to our clerking team in London.

Public and administrative law

Twenty Essex has strong expertise in public and administrative law disputes.

Experience includes advising and acting for the government in judicial reviews arising out of commercial, tax, regulatory and disciplinary work, as well as human rights and immigration challenges. Members are frequently seconded to, and instructed by, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and instructed by the Home Office.

Members regularly appear in judicial review proceedings ranging from commercial and regulatory matters to immigration and human rights, frequently appearing in a number of UK Supreme Court cases. In addition to acting for the UK and government, members also act on behalf of commercial claimants, individuals, interest groups and NGOs. In some cases, Twenty Essex has been instructed on both sides.
