Twenty Essex welcomes new tenant Simon Olleson to Chambers today.
Simon’s practice focuses on public international law (PIL) and international arbitration. He has particular experience as counsel and advocate in inter-State disputes, including before the International Court of Justice, the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea and international arbitral tribunals constituted under the auspices of the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
His expertise will complement the set’s long tradition of pre-eminence in public international law and its leading status in international arbitration.
Duncan Matthews QC, co-head of Twenty Essex, says: “We are very pleased to welcome Simon to Chambers. Twenty Essex has been at the forefront of public international law for over 70 years and his experience will be a real asset to the continuation of the set’s excellent reputation in this area.”
Simon says: “Twenty Essex has a long history and international reputation in public international law, and international arbitration, and is home to many outstanding practitioners. I am very excited to be joining, and very much looking forward to the opportunity to work alongside old friends and new colleagues. I am indebted and very grateful to Three Stone for the support I have received in my career to date.”
