Ahead of its launch on October 8, the Mumbai Centre for International Arbitration has hosted its first case and member Nakul Dewan was appointed arbitrator. The dispute concerned three contracts for the sale and purchase of coal.
India's first commercial arbitration centre is to be opened on October 8 in Mumbai. The centre is a joint venture between the Maharashtra government, industry members and the legal fraternity.
