Timothy Young QC has a broad practice encompassing shipping, finance, insurance, commodities and even defence procurement. He has notably acted for Rosneft in the Court of Appeal in (1) PST Energy 7 Shipping LLC; (2) Product Shipping & Trading S.A. v. (1) O.W. Bunker Malta Ltd; (2) ING Bank N.V.  EWCA Civ 1058. He has also acted in NYK Bulkship (Atlantic) NV v Cargill International SA ("The Global Santosh") which was heard in the Supreme Court in December 2015.
Simon’s practice focuses on energy and offshore construction as well as a thriving caseload in international trade and natural resources cases including shipping, corporate / post-M&A and joint venture issues. Simon has also provided pre-litigation advice and contract drafting and termination advice to a number of shipyards and offshore engineering and rig manufacturers based in Europe, Singapore, South Korea and the PRC. Highlights include Isabella Shipowner SA v Shagang Shipping Co Ltd, and a number of substantial shipping arbitrations over the past year.
